From Australia with love we have the fab duo Sarah-Jane Clarke and Heidi Middleton that is Sass and Bide and their breathtaking spring 2012 collection at London fashion week.
As first impressions go it’s safe to say that aliens could’ve landed and we wouldn’t have batted an eyelid. A melange of colours flew down the catwalk with textures, prints and silhouettes to die for. We saw a refreshed version of the colour blocking trend being carried over into next Summer with added spice. In terms of colours, there is no second-guessing that this brand has it all figured out. As far as the spring 2012 colour trends go it is all about the fresh side of a palette; here we see shades of navy, neon yellow, tangerine, Hawaiian lime and some bright teal all fused together into a wearable collection.
Amidst the busy playground of tribal prints and over-sized polka dots, what caught our eye the most was the mixture of fabrics and shapes; a metallic leather skirt in futuristic blue, paired with a plain clashing tee makes for a summer evening soiree. Where as an origami-esque piece which was teamed with a bead encrusted cropped vest is what holidays are made of. The catwalk was effortlessly styled by Wonderland’s fashion director Julia Sarr-Jamois, and with this knowledge is safe to assume that the woman knows her stuff!
The brand has made its mark in the industry for being an easy-to-wear and chic option for any woman. Bringing a sophisticated approach to the trends laid out for next summer it’s no doubt that Sass and Bide has evolved and will continue to bring us what is no less than an ovation worthy show, and season.

Lusting over anything from interiors to jewellery as long as it's unique, when you don't find her infront of a keyboard plying her trade as a freelance fashion writer then it's likely you'll find her sitting at a sewing machine and dreaming of Carrie's fashion-Narnia wardrobe or in a kitchen trying her hand at Chanel inspired cupcakes. With a personal wardrobe that drips with colour and glitter, Sabi hopes to wake up and be Holly Golightly for the day. Every day.
